Woohoo!! Keen for a 7 hour trip down to Palmerston North tomorrow morning. We leave tomorrow at 6.30am so we can miss the horrible Auckland traffic.
Cycling nationals this weekend involves a team time trial on Saturday, a road race on Sunday and a points race on Monday. My Rangitoto College Senior Girls cycling team are the first team off on Saturday as we are ranked last!! But I'm sure we aren't going to come last. Oh well should be a good start to the weekend (although I'm not sure the weather is going to be particularly nice to us).
I am going down to cycling nationals to have a fun time and compete as hard as I can, although I have not specificly trained for this event.
After cycling nationals my family and I plan to go snow skiing for a week at Turoa. This will be awesome as I haven't skied for a year and I'm really keen to carve up some fresh powder with my mates, which has recently be dumped by the cold rainy weather.
After that we head to Lake Karapiro for Secondary Schools Multisport Nationals. This should be a blast as my goal is to win and I'm pretty strong at kayaking, paddling and cycling.
Yaaahhh!! School holidays are FINALLY here!
Hi, I'm Danielle McKenzie - I represented NZ at the Surf Life Saving World Champs in France in September where we took out the World title!! I am the World BOARD and LINE throw CHAMPION. This year I qualified for the professional Kelloggs Nutrigrain Ironwoman series 2014-2015. This has always been a dream and it has finally arrived. First race is 29th/ 30th of November in Perth. Pain is temporary, it may last one minute, one hour or one day but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. However if I quit, it lasts forever!!
