Finally home from an awesome week of cycling and skiing.
At cycling nationals I managed to WIN the Under 17 girls Road Race with an amazing sprint to the line. Our time trial team managed 5th overall.
After cycling nationals I headed with my family to Ohakune for a week of hot skiing.
We skied all day Tuesday and afterwards I decided it was such a good day that I would cycle to the car park at the top of the mountain and back down (Turoa side). It took me an hour to get to the top and 27 minutes to get back down. When I was riding up, I realised how steep the mountain actually is, as my average was 10km/hr. On the way down I averaged about 50km/hr.
It was a tremendous ride and I am glad to say that I have done it.
My Secondary School Multisport Nationals got cancelled due to lack of numbers so I stayed on and skied an extra few days. Saturday and Sunday were the most amazing days I have ever skied. It was hot, sunny and perfect fresh powder snow.
I have been back at school for a week now getting back into study mode for my exams which are coming up soon.

Pain is temporary, it may last one minute, one hour or one day but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. However if I quit, it lasts forever!!
