Last week I attended my School’s Senior Sports Awards prize-giving.
I walked into the hall for prize-giving and sat down at the table and on EVERY programme I was right in the middle of the cover. Not only was I pictured on the front of every programme, but there were two large A1 size posters of me on the wall. They used the Subway photo of me coming out of the water. When the Principal introduced the evening format, a collage of photos with me in the middle came up on the big screen. How embarrassing!
I had a successful night winning:
• Intermediate Girls Cross Country Champion.
• Blues Award with High Distinction for Triathlon.
• Blues Award with High Distinction for Cycling.
• New Zealand Representative in Triathlon certificate
• Excellence in Non Sanctioned Sport Trophy (for my surf lifesaving)
• Finalist in the Sportswomen of the year award.
I was very honoured to be selected as a finalist when there were such other talented athletes nominated.

Quotes
Pain is temporary, it may last one minute, one hour or one day but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. However if I quit, it lasts forever!!
